MY BUTTERFLY GARDEN BOX by MIRIAM

Hello everyone. My offering for this month using The Butterfly Garden Collection from Meg's Garden is an Altered Art Box I found in my stash. I painted the edges of the box with black acrylic paint then sprayed it with Brushed Pewter distress spray stain, I felt this was the perfect choice for the  background. I didn't use any metal embellishments just Prima flowers and some chip board painted with burgundy paint and then sprayed with some glitter dust. I did use a Couture Creations and Cheery Lynn dies. The inside pull out has space for journal entries and photo mats that can be changed around.  I have used glossy accents on some of the butterfly's  but most of them are from the Butterfly Transparency sheet from Meg's Garden and a little gesso on some of red flowers. Hope you like my take on this little box

Male Pop up Card

Hi everyone, Miriam here with my latest project for Meg's Garden.

I love making pop up cards and  Kerry-Jean's Gentlemen's Collection was perfect for this one. I have only used cardstock and some embellishments as the paper didn't need anything else. I used craft card for the base and topped this with black card. Kerry-Jean's Gentlemen Collection and The Correspondence Cut & Create paper from Meg's Garden, with Do Do vine and Tim Holtz metal embellishments all from Meg's Garden. I made little bridges from black cardstock for the inside to stand up.

Looking forward to the September challenge. Until next time.

Hand Stitched Journal

Hello everyone, Miriam here with my latest project for Meg's Garden. I have made a small journal to go with a concertina box and a card,. The journal is hand stitched and I made a mask to make the edges look aged and applied vintage photo, also added a few sentiments on alternative pages. On the inside I edged the concertina box with strips I have embossed and topped with vintage photo and did the same with the little card, also added a sentiment inside the card, hope you like these they were really fun to make .All products used are listed below

Sherlock Holmes Book

Hello everyone. This album is my latest project for Meg's Garden. I love making albums of any size and this one is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.  I covered the chipboard cover with craft card and then the outside with Kerry-Jean's Correspondence collection, and inside I used her Sherlock Holmes collection, I also used inside a paper stack I had in my stash the went well with papers.I used gesso and a colour spray on most of the pages, then edged with vintage photo. In the middle pages I used a ribbon punch and threaded some narrow cut paper through. Some cork I had left over from another project also went well. There are plenty of tags and pockets with photo mats.Used a couple of magnets on some flaps also.
